- Provide a scenario of the criminal justice system in the year 2075. Be sure to focus on
issues pertaining to diversity, tolerance, and multiculturalism.
A highly efficient criminal justice system is defined by its ability to embrace high
levels of fairness and instill utmost faith on individuals using the system. One aspect that
encourages and ensures fairness is incorporation of diversity into the system. Diversity then
begets tolerance and multiculturalism and people are thus able of enjoying peace and a far
system of criminal justice. The above prospects are typical of the proposed and anticipated
criminal justice system by the year 2075. The system will also ensure that people have a
paradigm shift of their perception towards the judicial system.
Incorporation of cultural diversity helps in ensuring that people are equally handled
based on their cultural extraction and origin. It ensures that all variances that may create
misunderstanding and miscommunication are handled. For instance, punk music and culture
often mistaken and associated with criminal activities can be perfectly handled under a
multicultural and tolerant system where anyone is free to engage into an activity of their
choice provided they do not engage in criminal activities (Hugman, 2012). In such cases,
cultural diversity will ensure that the judicial system respects the culture embraced by
individuals provided they respect and embrace the legal system.

- Discuss how racial profiling, immigration, and hate crimes will impact the future of
multiculturalism and criminal justice.
The revolutionizing world and systems are promising as far as the system of
justice is concerned. It will help in eliminating stereotypes that are biased towards a
specific group of people that embrace a specific unique system. When the system of
policing and profiling is revised, it will help to eliminate stereotypes that are prone to
base their conclusions based on judgments rather than facts in basing their conclusions.
Therefore, once the profiling is revised, such judgments will be eliminated and biased
criminal justice systems will be history.
Bias can also be observed in the judicial systems where judges and juries have a
prejudgment towards a given group of people. When cultural diversity is embraced and
incorporated, people will have a clue of the rationale behind each practice and hence
influence a just system that will based on reason and reasonable rationale rather than
misguided bias that is full of assumptions (McNamara & Burns, 2018). Diversity allows
for generation of many perspectives of looking at a particular case thereby making the
judicial system just and devoid of any form of bias. - Identify and discuss three changes you believe are necessary for criminal justice system
to welcome diversity among the ranks of practitioners. Further, identify and success three
changes you feel are needed to facilitate tolerance among criminal justice practitioners
with consideration of the diverse criminal population.
Several changes should be adopted in the criminal justice system to ensure that
the current system is prepared for a more diverse criminal justice system. The first
change should be in the education system, where there is diversity. Diversity in career

and training prepares the individuals in the sector to be psychologically prepared in
handling culturally diverse victims (McNamara & Burns, 2018). Social awareness is
another aspect that ensures everyone is informed about the cultural paths and systems
taken by particular groups in the society hence preventing bias and prejudgment when
handling such individuals. The recruitment system should also be revised and made
diverse in nature such that everyone in the career can advocate for their culture and
inform their colleagues of particular prospects when need arises.
Tolerance is another key principle that must be dominant to ensure that there is
diversity. Tolerance ensures that people from vast cultural origin can freely interact and
live in harmony (Hugman, 2012). Like diversity, tolerance can be ensured through social
awareness so that people have a deeper knowledge and understanding about people that
they are handling. Training and education are also of equal importance as far as the
subject at hand is concerned. It not only brings diverse people together but also creates a
room for understanding and a ground for interaction. Equal distribution of opportunities
across cultures can also help in creating tolerance.
